First time home buyers here. Dan is amazing. I first spoke with Dan when I told my real-estate agent (Caroline Lavenduski, highly recommend) I wanted to check out an open house somewhat casually. We needed to get prequalifed and she put me in touch with Dan. Dan called me and spent an hour talking with me and educating me about the market and what it would ACTUALLY roughly cost $$ for total closing costs and down payment (he basically broke down each line item and what it meant for the state of PA), which ultimately lead me to understand a total cost down which was a lot more than I expected (not having done much research on my own). Fast forward a few months and we started more seriously considering buying. Because my husband wasn’t with me when I first spoke to Dan, I asked Dan if he could get on a call with my husband, so he spent about another 45~ talking with him and educating him as well. This is now 2 hours of Dan’s time he spent with my husband and I, who at that time were still somewhat ambivalent potential buyers. But those 2 interactions sealed the deal for me that we would work with Dan, not only because he came highly recommended for finding the best rates, but because anyone who invests in potential customers at that level you know is a true professional and in it for the entire customer experience, and not just in it to make a quick sale. We worked with Dan on the purchase of one home which unfortunately fell through, but kept in touch and about 1 year later, when deciding to move to VA, we decided again to use Dan because the great experiences we’d had so far. He got right to work for us after we quickly identified and made an offer on a house and held our hand basically through the whole process.
